Curriculum (English)

Liliana Bernardi began the study of the violin with Maestro A. Pelliccia. She obtained a degree at Conservatorio Statale Santa Cecilia in Rome with Maestro A. Redditi; she was awarded, with full marks and grant, the degree of high specialisation at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Maestro B. Antonioni.

She has attended several Master Classes in Italy and abroad, among which: the “Musik Hochshule” of Wurzburg in Germany with Maestro Zhislin; the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg and in New York with Maestro Kaplan; in Florence for "Amici della Musica" with Maestro Kolja Blaker; with Maestro G. Moench "Accademia musicale J. Napoli" at Accademia di Santa Cecilia of Rome with Maestro Felix Ajo and at Accademia "W. Stauffer" of Cremona with Maestro Salvatore Accardo.

She obtained a degree in Chamber Music at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Maestro Rocco Filippini and was awarded a merits degree and grant in chamber music at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Maestro Dario De Rosa and Maestro Renato Zanettovich.

She graduated with full marks "summa cum laude" in "Discipline Musicali", soloist section.

She got prizes in national and international courses and contests, in 2003 she obtained the European recognition of “Excelsius Musicae et Pacis Nuntius” at Palazzo Venezia in Rome and, in 2006, a recognition from the town of Viterbo for having distinguished herself in the national artistic-musical panorama as an model for young women of the town.

Being interested in contemporary music, she has performed first executions and received dedications and compositions from several Maestros: A. Halapsis, C. Piccolo, U. Chialastri, L. Bellini.

She carries out an intense soloist and orchestral activity playing in the most important concert halls and theatres in Italy and abroad: in America, Asia, Russia, Europe, Middle East (at Scala of Milan, at San Carlo of Naples, at Lingotto of Turin, at Musikverain of Wien, at Bolshoi of Moscow, at Opera City of Tokyo, at Coliseum of Bueon Aires, at Concert Hall of Shanghai, at Opera of Paris, at Teatro Argentina of Rome, at Università Cattolica, at Eliseo Theatre, at Parco della Musica of Rome, at Fenice of Venice, etc.). She cooperated with important soloists like: Rostropovic, Uto Ughi, Vengerov, Pollini, Mintz, Accardo, Mullova, Lortie.  

She cooperated and has been invited as first violin and concertino in important orchestras: Filarmonica della Scala of Milan, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Teatro Regio of Parma, Teatro La Fenice of Venice, New Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra, with which she recorded several CDs (EMI, Musicom).

She has played, being conducted by the greatest conductors amongst  whom include, Riccardo Muti, Sinopoli, Sawallisch, Gerghiev, Nagano, Chung, De Burgos, L. Maazel, Z. Mheta, Berio, Pretre.

She has been invited to play by Cameristi della Scala of Milan, by Maestro S. Accardo with the Orchestra da Camera Italiana and by Cameristi di Santa Cecilia with Uto Ughi.

Liliana Bernardi’s interest towards less traditional tonal matches brought her to forming duos with harp, guitar, and double-bass, stimulating the repertoire research for those formations and inspiring a keen interest of contemporary composers.

In 2013 she recorded cd for violin and guitar "Quattro contro sei"(Alfamusic Classics, distr. Egea), and in 2014 she recorded "Viaggio Italiano per violino e arpa".

She is the artistic director of the Fondazione "Liberarmonia", which promotes concert and didactic activities. She is the artistic director of the national music contest "Città di Viterbo", at its 14th edition.

She has been invited to be a commission panel member, judge and as a professor in several national contests, Master Classes of different Italian Academies. She has obtained a teaching diploma for violin for National Music Conservatoires and she is currently professor of violin at Conservatorio Statale di Musica "Francesco Morlacchi" of Perugia.

She plays a Roman violin Rodolfo Fredi of 1945 and an Antonio Rocca violin of 1827 from Turin.

 She is postural training teachers for musicians. She is teacher of Suzuki metodology.
